For the 2018 Holiday Scratchers campaign, we wanted to do something different (isn’t that the point?). We thought it would be fun, disruptive and attention getting to parody the amount of Holiday ads people are fed throughout the winter with our own campaign that literally cut through the clutter. Literally.

 

:30 TV

For our TV campaign, we gave Windfall Willie his very own QVC-style segment to showcase the new tickets. Since the rebirth of Willie, I wanted to have him bust through something with his pickaxe. I’m very glad we were able to make that happen.

 

Extended cut

When you work with someone like Pete Marquis, you know you’re going to need an extended version to get all the funnies in. This version features some super fans and a whole lot of improv brought to you by some of my best friends, including Kyle who starred in the REVINRE spots. God I love having talented friends.

Also, to continue the idea of “disruption” this campaign is based in, we aired this extended spot during prime time shows with an Easter egg phone number that viewers could call into for a chance to win even more.

 

Radio campaign

Again, this campaign was all about disrupting the typical holiday advertising with, well, more holiday advertising. But at least ours was entertaining! For radio, we created a series of spots featuring fake products (much like the beloved Butter Baller) that Willie takes over.
